Overview
Arsenal AI is hiring a Scrum Master to drive agile delivery for a growing engineering team supporting a healthcare technology platform. This role owns the health of the sprint cycle end-to-end — from backlog grooming through retrospective — and works directly with engineering leads, product owners, and client stakeholders to keep delivery predictable and transparent.
US Citizenship is required for this position.
What You'll Do
Backlog Management
Facilitate backlog grooming and refinement sessions, ensuring stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for sprint planning.
User Story Creation
Partner with product and engineering to write clear, testable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria.
Complexity Analysis
Lead story pointing and complexity rating sessions, driving consistent estimation practices across the team.
Sprint Ceremonies
Run sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and end-of-sprint retrospectives that produce real, actionable improvements.
Delivery Health
Track velocity, surface blockers early, and keep stakeholders informed on sprint progress and risks.
Continuous Improvement
Translate retrospective outcomes into concrete process changes and hold the team accountable to them.
Required Qualifications
- •Strong working knowledge of agile/Scrum methodology in a software delivery environment.
- •Experience facilitating backlog grooming, estimation, and retrospectives.
- •Ability to write and refine user stories with engineering and product input.
- •Clear, proactive communication with both technical teams and client stakeholders.
- •US Citizenship is required due to contractual requirements with the client on this engagement.
