Senior Integrations Engineer
Overview
We are hiring a Senior Integrations Engineer to join a high-impact team building enterprise integrations for a fast-growing healthcare technology platform. You design and scale the connections between Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and external partners, the infrastructure that moves patient data securely between providers.
This is a contract-to-hire role. You work full-time as a W-2 employee of Arsenal AI, embedded on the client's engineering team, with a path to convert to a full-time role with the client based on performance and business need.
Arsenal AI is a Pittsburgh-based venture studio and AI consulting firm. We build and invest in AI-native companies, and we embed engineering teams directly with our clients to ship production software.
US Citizenship is required for this position.
What You'll Do
EHR & Partner Integrations
Design, build, and maintain scalable integrations with EHR systems and third-party platforms.
API & Backend Development
Develop RESTful APIs and Go services that power enterprise-grade integrations.
Cloud-Native Engineering
Work in a cloud-native environment using AWS services including ECS and Fargate.
Code Review & Mentorship
Review code and mentor engineers to maintain high engineering standards.
Production Support
Troubleshoot production issues and ensure reliability across integration touchpoints.
Architecture & Workflow
Improve system architecture and development workflows to support long-term scale.
What We're Looking For
- •5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including production ownership of a backend service.
- •Proficiency in a statically typed backend language: Go, Java, C#, Kotlin, or Rust. We prefer Go experience but do not require it. Strong engineers coming from a comparable language are productive in Go within a few weeks.
- •Experience with distributed systems and API design, building APIs rather than only consuming them.
- •Experience running containerized services in a major cloud: AWS, GCP, or Azure. This team runs on AWS, and prior AWS experience is not required.
- •Strong system design fundamentals and working knowledge of a relational database.
- •Healthcare interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR, EHR platforms) is a strong plus, not a requirement.
Tech Stack
You should recognize everything on this list, but you don't need production experience in all of it. We expect new engineers to pick up the parts they haven't used before.
Eligibility Requirements
This engagement supports a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs contract. The first three items below are federal contract requirements. The fourth, U.S. residency, is Arsenal AI policy. Candidates must confirm they meet all four before applying.

- •Successful completion of a background check and drug screening prior to your start date.
